Grey's Reach Campaign - Part 02 of 03
The idea of "objects left behind" came about after looking through the belongings of my late grandfather, which stirred many emotions in me and also brought back so much memories with him. These emotions and memories gave me the idea to ultilise objects and belongings of the elderly as a vehicle to communicate the idea of the detrimental effects of old age loneliness and also questioning the audience when was the last time they visited their grandparents. My studio lecturer Paul Hume wrote me various copies such as "Old age loneliness can be as bad as smoking 15 cigarettes a day" and "Grandpa doesn't say much, thats because you didn't talk to him. Right?" in order to kick-start the development of this concept.
