Places with connection
Places with connection is a publication that aims to create awareness and relive memories of the “scared” heritage places in Singapore. The clients are Singapore Heritage Society and Singapore Press Holdings. My design objective is to design a heritage publication that is more interactive and modern. The concept for my design is called “light it up”. It consist of using bright and design elements to make the places and buildings bright and alive again. There is usage of triangle shapes to represent the abstract form of the colourful shophouses and buildings. Photography include taking of the unique features of the buildings and places, and being cropped into triangle shapes as well.
Interactive features are included in the publication to make the publication more interesting and connect with the readers.
A set of badges comes with the publication.
A poster is designed to promote the publication and will be placed in bookstores.
